Get Glamorous hairstyles - Waves - Blow dry with a big round brush to get lots of lift and volume. Spray each section with more heat protecting styling aid.

Tong your hair where you want the waves - use a medium to large barrel tong. Hold each curl to cool before you let it fall or comb it.

The size of your tongs are important - do not use small diameter tongs unless you want tight curl. Medium to large suits here. There are also waving tongs called "wavers". They work similar to a crimping iron.

Comb and mold the waves into place. For longer hair comb the ends over your hand or fingers to smooth and control.

This is best done on hair that is not short or with very short layered lengths in the front.

Apply shine spray lightly and a good hold hair spray.

Blow dry with a medium or large round brush to get lots of lift and volume. Spray with heat protecting spray lightly again before you use tongs or hot rollers.

Want that "drop dead gorgeous" look

Hot rollers can take a little getting used to but personally I think they are more versatile than tongs. Definitely my favourite for glamorous hairstyles!

When the rollers are cooling in your hair you can do your make-up or dress.

Place your hot rollers in your hair - or tong the whole head - where the lengths allow.

Immediately after tonging each piece pin each curl into a roll to cool. When cool take a spider brush (a brush with bristles that are quite far apart) - tip your head upside-down.

Brush your hair upside-down- all over right to the scalp. Brush towards the floor.

For a more textured look. (Head upside -down.) Run your open fingers from the scalp to the ends -shaking as you go- so you do not pull too much on the hair.

This is also a great pick-up for your style if it has dropped after a few hours.

Spray lightly with hairspray, and flip your head back into an upright position.

This technique will give you the big full hair look - don't get a fright it will drop down a lot in the first 10-20 minutes. If you love it and want more just use a little more hairspray than before.

Place curl by either flicking with a tail comb or combing the ends of small sections over your hands and fingers to smooth them. When you are happy - a light spray with shine, then a good spray with hairspray- whilst tilting your head from side to side.
