The Hairstyle Finder

...The right hairstyle for your features

in 4 easy steps

The hairstyle finder is going to show you how design a style to up-play your best features and downplay your not so good.

In step one you measured your features and you will now find yourself in one of the descriptions below.

Have you followed the easy instructions in step 1- if not please - go to step 1
go to step 3

READ ONLY THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT RELATE TO YOU!

Step 2

short bob side fringe

Shorter Forehead:-

You need to lengthen your face by showing your forehead through your hair at the front.

Alternately take it to side away from your forehead.

Make sure at all times your forehead is visible through your hair.

Covering your forehead with hair will make your face look round -(not what you want)

Longer forehead:-

This tells us that you should cover most or part of your forehead to balance out your face.

Do this by either wearing shorter hair around your forehead, or parting your hair on the side and draping it over.

Center parts are not for you- a center part will make your face appear very long!

Shorter brow - nose:-

Your features are more to the center of your face.

To balance this out we need to minimize your forehead, chin and lower cheeks.

Try covering your forehead with hair, and bringing hair towards the face to narrow it on the sides, side length must stop at the jawline area.

(This doesn't mean you have to have a bob- short hair can come forward and layers can finish at the jawline, as can long hair).
soft bob curls

Longer brow - nose:-

Diagonal angles are the best for you.

Draping your hair over your forehead at a diagonal, layering your hair at the sides.

Long straight hair parted in the center is definitely not for you.

Try side part draped over your forehead, in a bob, with the lighter side tucked back behind your ear, or short shaggy also draping over to the side at the front.

The hairstyle finder thinks a  great style for you is a short cropped chin length bob at the front and short into the neck at the back- very stylish.

Shorter nose - chin:-:

You can wear most any style however you will usually have prominent cheek bones with a narrow chin.

Therefor you will need to slim down your face by wearing your hair forward and/or over your cheekbones. Bobs need to finish above or below the chin.

short blonde curls
Please no heavy straight fringes/bangs on the forehead - this will accentuate your width at the cheeks and your short chin.

Short cropped can look great, but make sure you can see some of your forehead at all times to narrow and lengthen the width.

Longer nose-chin:-

Your forehead must be seen at all times.

Bobs should finish between the mouth and the tip of the chin. Layered styles should not be short at the ears leave as much length at the sides to balance the cut.

Diagonal angles for this feature work well - hair draping across forehead, but still allowing forehead to be visible through the hair - to balance out chin length.

NOW comb and drape your damp hair into the shape for your features just as the hairstyle finder has suggested - see the difference!!
