The Hairstyle Guide
4 simple steps to your best style
So put
aside all the hair
styling books and photos for now and we are just going to
talk about "YOU".
The hairstyle guide is dedicated to taking you through the
steps to find a range of
hairstyles and lengths that best suit:-
- your facial features,
- your hair,
- your lifestyle
Your lifestyle controls a large part of your style choice and is often overlooked:-
- children and family,
- work commitments,
- time,
- priority,
Follow these few steps below
team up with your hairdresser/stylist with a goal of
the "best possible hairstyle for your hair".
How do I find the right hairdresser for my hair"?
Step 1
(get a pen and paper - I think you will remember though)
1. Shampoo and condition your hair-we want squeaky clean. This will not work on dry or unwashed hair.
2. Comb all your hair back firmly away from your face,
NO - we are not doing the face
shapes thing - it's over-rated and difficult for people to
decide what shape they are.
3. Place your hand flat on the top of your head, about 2 finger widths back from your hairline press down and push the hair under your hand forward,
4. Take note of which way your hair falls at the front - this is the natural fall of
your hair (it is important to note this as you will never win a battle against it).
If it stands up or falls in a center part you can wear you hair anyway.
Remember this - "I will not fight my hair" - so if your hair falls to
the right it needs to be styled/combed from left to right.
If you have cowlicks or front crowns this process will help you see where the hair
needs to be parted to sit at it's best(usually straight through the cowlick)
NEXT :- Measure between your thumb and index fingers:-
- the length from the center of your eyebrows up to your hairline,
- then from the center eyebrows to just under your nose,
- then from under your nose to just under your chin.
Congratulations if
it is even - you have the perfect face, and features
ratio! This means you can wear most styles easily.
Usually you will find that two are close or the same and one
is smaller or larger.
This
is the strongest deciding factor of the hairstyle guide for
choosing your best hairstyle.
