Help my hair is orangy-yellow!

I am just home from the salon where I asked for blond foils. Now that I am home it looks really dark yellow. I don't really want to go back to the salon in case they make it worse - I have lost confidence in them now.
What can I do to get rid of the yellow and have a nice blond look?
Answer Hi Olivia, My advice from a professional point of view is to contact the salon and let them know that you are concerned that the color is too yellow. They will ask you to come in so they can see it. They should then rectify the problem. (With a bit of knowledge it is really quite simple to correct.)
If you have a good attitude with them - they will with you - after all it is not a complaint - it is just not quite what you expected or desired.
Make sure that they explain to you exactly what they propose to do and the outcome they expect - ask questions if you do not understand.
It is in your stylists best interest to make sure you are happy with your hair - after all you are a walking talking advertisement for her. I am sure you will be surprised.
They may recommend a blue/violet shampoo and conditioner (I recommend that too!)
If you absolutely will not go back to your stylist you can use a silver rinse or toning rinse. You may have to do it a couple of times. Do not buy a color that requires mixing two bottles together - it is permanent and you will loose your textured effect of foils and make a repair job far worse than it is now.
The first option will be easier and cheaper in the long run I am sure.
Let me know if you have any more worries with this.
Good luck Sandra
